Science and Sport camps 2022
All our camps are held in Wollishofen, Bachstrasse 7, 8038. Camps start at 9:30 - 16:30. Drop off is from 9:00. The age is 6-11 years. The price includes lunch and snacks all week.

Frequently Asked Questions
We have a ratio of 6 children per adult. We have 4-5 staff working at camp. We often invite guest speakers / experts and so the ratio is then higher. We have up between 20-26 children at camp. Sometimes children are split into smaller age / ability groups.
How many children attend camp?
Our camp days build on prior learning each day. We pride ourselves in really getting to know each other throughout the week of camp and developing strong relationships where children feel safe and can learn to trust each other. We have found week long camps provide children the stability in which they can grow and learn. We therefore do not open the camp up to offer single days.
Can I book individual days?
We keep up to date with guidelines and follow the Coronvirus measures very carefully.
We sanitize equipment and surfaces regularly, we wear PPE as much as possible and we adhere as much as is possible (when working with children) with social distancing guidelines.
We share good practise with the children to enable them to help reduce the spread.
Symptomatic staff and children will not be permitted to attend camp until they receive a negative Coronavirus test. Staff are required to hold a valid COVID certificate.
What are the Coronavirus precautions ?
When camps are booked 3 months in advance we offer a 50CHF early booking discount.
We do not offer siblings discounts.
What discounts do you offer?
Lunch at camp is fresh, healthy and delicious.
We all sit and eat together to enjoy our food. The menu includes pasta, pizza, fajitas, hot dogs and side salads. Everything is separate to help the fussy eaters amongst us. Vegetarian options available.
We offer healthy snacks like fruits, veggies, eggs and yogurt as well as special treats like ice cream, cakes and croissants - after all that activity the treats are well deserved!
If we go on a trip your child will have a balanced packed lunch complete for the day.
We are a nut free camp although some food may contain traces of nuts. We regretfully cannot cater for vegan, kosher or severe allergies.
What is included in the lunch option?
We regretfully are unable to offer early and late drop off currently.
Do you offer early and later drop off?
You can book and pay online.
As we start to get full we take bookings manually to avoid overbooking. In this case please email us to see if we have space.
Upon return of a completed booking form we will request payment via bank transfer.
When we have received your payment your child`s place will be confirmed by email.
Please note: Until payment is received your child`s place at camp cannot be guaranteed.
How do I book?
We normally have 4 staff at camp and 1 on standby.
This allows the camp to split into various groups for age, ability, variety of activities.
This gives a high ratio of 1 staff for every 6 children allowing us to go on exciting day trips and ensuring safety and quality at all times. We are unable to offer one to one care.
How many staff will be at camp?
Cancellations made 28 days or more in advance of the event date, will receive a refund minus 50CHF from the total cost. This covers admin costs. Cancellations made within 28 days will incur a 100% fee.
Should your child experience COVID-10 symptoms they will need a negative COVID-19 test to be allowed to attend camp. We must protect everyone. We do not issue refunds for days missed due to COVID related issues or illness.

My son attended a week-long Spark Science camp this past summer and had an absolute blast. He was exposed to a lot of new concepts and ideas during the camp, which fueled his enthusiasm for science. Emma's passion for science and teaching children is clear. I overheard a girl tell her mother, at the end of the second day of camp, "this was the best day of my life mom!" Both my daughters ages 6 and 7 years attended the Sparks Science Camp Oct 2019. Its the first camp that they were super excited everyday to attend. Emma and her team are enthusiastic and happy and keep the day exciting for the kids, using their minds with all the fun experiments and then mixing it up with physical activity. At the end of the day Emma sends out a detailed description of all they did so I could talk to them about their day. The fact that we could continue the learning/fun even after the camp speaks volumes to their experience. My daughters are already asking when they can go back and we will for sure be return campers!
Our kid went to a Spark Science camp during October holidays of the first school year and loved all of it: the experiments, the trips, the people, the food -- now we're all sad that we've already booked vacation over the week of the February camp, but we're definitely coming back in summer.

Emma runs amazing events! My kids have always loved attending her camps. Every detail is very well planned and matches her theme. She is very well organized and fun. I would highly recommend her camps and events!

My son attended a science themed birthday party with Electric Emma and then attended a week long science and sports camp over the summer with her. The week was packed with fun, engaging and educational experiments and activities including a trip Technorama. They made slime, candy crystals, fizzy bath bombs, learned about invertebrates, magnets and lots more! My son loved every minute of it and at the end of the week he declared that Electric Emma was his favorite teacher ever. He wants her as his full time teacher and was very sad when camp ended!😊 He is looking forward to attending any camps Emma has to offer in the future. Highly recommend Emma and Spark Science to anyone looking for camps (or birthday parties) for their kids!

We can't say enough good things about the Spark Science crew. Our daughter loves the camps and comes home each day bubbling with excitement about what she did and learned at camp. She has made some wonderful new friends and her love of science as simply grown.
Super educational and fun camp - Combo of science, sports, craft as well as healthy meals and snacks. Both my kids (9 and 5yo) absolutely loved it and still talk about it and the memories they made and good friends they met. Sparking Emma and her team marked them with their passion and attention to details. We will be back!

My 9 year old absolutely loved the camp, and couldn't get enough of the experiments. The balance with sports - and the fantastic variety and free choice was great. Daily recaps were a lovely surprise and fantastic for allowing us parents to talk more with the kids about what they learned and what they liked. We are very much looking forward to another opportunity to participate again!
