Service Description

The Science & Sport Holiday Camp at Swiss International School offers an exciting week of discovery, creativity, and active fun for children aged 5–11. This special themed programme blends hands-on science with energetic sports and outdoor activities, creating a dynamic environment where curiosity, creativity, and movement come together. During the week, young explorers dive into the science behind superheroes while taking part in exciting experiments and challenges. Campers investigate the incredible strength of spider webs, uncover the DNA secrets behind genetic mutations, and create colour-changing “skin” inspired by comic-book transformations. Experiments also explore how thunder and lightning are formed, how super strength could work, and how science helps explain some of the amazing abilities seen in favourite heroes. Each activity introduces scientific concepts through playful investigation, experimentation, and creative problem-solving. The days are filled with interactive science workshops where children explore chemistry, physics, biology, and engineering through hands-on experiments and collaborative challenges. Activities are designed to make complex ideas accessible and exciting while encouraging curiosity and discovery. In between the Science the programme shifts to movement, teamwork, and outdoor fun. Children take part in sports, playground games, and team challenges, along with special themed activities such as superhero self-defence training, archery, and acrobatic “Catwoman-style” gymnastics. The camp runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 16:30 and is led by experienced instructors in a safe and supportive environment. A typical day includes three engaging science workshops in the morning, lunch and relaxation time, followed by sports and outdoor activities in the afternoon. Children receive lunch and snacks each day. Thursday is the special trip day, when campers travel together by van for an educational outing or outdoor adventure that connects science learning with real-world experiences. With small group sizes and a welcoming atmosphere, the Science & Sport Holiday Camp at Swiss International School is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and give children a memorable week filled with discovery, friendship, and fun. Children do not need to attend SIS Rotkreuz to participate in the camp. 🧪⚽🌿
