Service Description

Our after-school science programme offers a hands-on exploration of biology, physics, and technology through a series of themed workshops. Each session is designed to support curiosity, observation, and scientific reasoning through age-appropriate practical activities. Across the programme, children will investigate the human body and living systems through workshops such as You’ve Got Guts, Strong Skeletons, and Vital Stats, developing an understanding of anatomy, structure, and function. Physical science concepts are explored through interactive sessions on Surface Tension, Non-Newtonian Fluids, Magnetic Attraction, and Heat Detectives, where children observe and test how materials and energy behave in different conditions. Technology and engineering skills are introduced through workshops including Lemon Batteries, Squishy Circuits, Bristle Bots, and Smart Stuff, allowing children to explore electricity, circuits, and simple machines through guided construction and experimentation. Additional sessions such as What’s Your Type?, UV Bracelets, and Squiddy encourage classification, pattern recognition, and scientific observation. Throughout the programme, children practise safe laboratory behaviour, follow structured instructions, and work collaboratively. The workshops are designed to build confidence, problem-solving skills, and a positive engagement with science through active participation and exploration.
